Unfinished: Communicating Grief and Healing Through Handmade Textiles

My Master of Fine Arts thesis book documented my research into the historical and contemporary work that links grief, healing, textiles, and design, and thereby emphasizes the value of sharing space for quiet creation and community among those who have experienced grief similar to my own. These connections allow room for the unfinished and imperfect, and they expand the materials and techniques we think of as graphic design.

Along with Olivia Schneider, another member of my graduating class at Vermont College of Fine Arts, I designed a website showcasing all eight graduates’ work and collaboration, called What Might Be. Pop over to my thesis page for more information on my MFA work.
